Rosewood House, Newton-on-Ouse

Project Summary:

Aspect 4 was appointed to manage the design and construction works to fully refurbish, re-model and extend this period property. The aim was to use traditional materials to create a contemporary family home that was sympathetic to the original design and surrounding area.

The existing house was vacant and in a poor state of repair. Several low-quality extensions had been completed in the past, which had created an inefficient internal layout and were not in-keeping with the original style of the house. There were also significant structural defects in both the main building and rear stable block.

The stable block was raised to form a new living accommodation annexe above and behind a new garage. The rooms in the main house were reconfigured to provide more useable and up-to-date living space. Two rear extensions were added, one of which was an oak-framed garden room connected to the new kitchen.
