Working for councils and government departments, we provide a range of services to fulfil all aspects of their projects. Often working with in-house teams or consultants, we play an important role in delivering public-sector building and refurbishment works throughout the UK.

The variety of work we have managed and delivered for councils and government bodies includes constructing a sustainable eco-depot, building a municipal recycling centre, and managing external façade repairs on government buildings adjacent to Westminster Abbey. We have also been involved in public realm works, landscaping and garden programmes for government-owned estates, museums and galleries.

Hazel Court Eco Depot and Associated Buildings, York

Project Summary:

Aspect 4 project managed the refurbishment of the City of York Council’s Eco Depot and associated buildings, which included the construction of a new gatehouse and security block. The scheme also involved internal remodelling of two office blocks, workshops and stores.

The timber-framed and straw-bale walled buildings are water and energy efficient, and the site incorporates renewable energy and rainwater harvesting. Through careful management of the project, Aspect 4 enabled the site and base for the council’s Neighbourhood Services staff to remain fully operational throughout the works.
